Performance Dance Team– Ages 8+
Our Performance Dance Team (Formerly “A-Team”) is the perfect opportunity for dedicated dancers ages 8 and up who love to perform. As Perrysburg Dance Academy’s official ambassadors, these dancers have the chance to shine in various local events and beyond. Members perform at local parades, private shows, and public venues, and every three years, they have the incredible opportunity to perform at Walt Disney World. Additionally, Performance Team members open the recital with a featured number at our annual dance concert.
Requirements:
- Ages 8+ and in 3rd grade or higher.
- Dancers must be enrolled in a combination of Ballet and Jazz, or Jazz and Musical Theater to advance their technique.
- There is an annual registration fee, which covers team apparel, costume pieces for parades, and other activities.
- Additional fees apply in years when the team performs at Disney.
Art in Motion (AIM) – Intermediate to Advanced Ballet Students
Our Art in Motion ensemble is designed for intermediate to advanced ballet students interested in exploring contemporary styles. This program is open to dancers enrolled in Ballet III, IV, or V and either lyrical or modern dance classes. AIM provides a creative outlet to expand on classical ballet training through modern choreography and artistic expression.
Sunday Rehearsal Schedule:
- Rehearsals begin in January.
- Sessions are held on Sundays between 2:00PM – 6:00PM, with dancers attending only during their scheduled times.
Requirements:
- Dancers must be enrolled in Ballet III – V and Lyrical or Modern Dance.
- There is an annual registration fee for membership.
Competition Dance Team – Ages 8+
The Competition Dance Team at Perrysburg Dance Academy is designed for dancers ready to elevate their skills and compete at local and national dance competitions, as well as conventions and other performance opportunities. This team consists of talented, award-winning dancers known for their exceptional technique and performance.
